Hi, my name is Kelly Vaughan and I live on Portland in Dorset. I have loved dogs all my life and the first dog I had was a black Labrador her name was Bonnie and she was the apple of my eye. Unfortunately my mum got ill when I was 15 and after she passed away Bonnie my beloved dog went down hill and also died she was only ten so was still quite young. 

In 2000 I met Michelle Kingsland ( nee McDonald of Redcap Beagles) and she introduced me to her Beagles, I fell in love straight away. I got to know her dogs and after a while she let me put my name down for one. At first I wasn’t really bothered if I had a dog or bitch. I decided on a dog because I thought he would be a lot less messy (i.e. seasons) that was not the case!!!!!!

I was involved in the pregnancy and the birth of my baby boy, I had to choose the right bruiser of the pack he was the heaviest and the one that caused the most problems during birth, Michelle nick named him bear and he was the biggest teddy bear going. Finally I reached the perfect name for him Daxter and it suits him down to the ground.

  Unfortunately things happened at home and I had to move back with my father when I moved out I don’t suppose he thought I would be ever coming back but here I was with my stuff and a dog, and this is where he fell in love with Beagles too!!!!!
